One of the big questions about Xbox's plans this year is: will the 2024 Call of Duty be on Game Pass? Some say it might hurt sales, but others think players will love it. Anyway, according to the Wall Street Journal, it's coming to Game Pass.

Game Pass will add the new Call of Duty

According to the Wall Street Journal, Microsoft is 'planning a big change in its game sales strategy by bringing the next Call of Duty to its subscription service.'

In the past, Microsoft perhaps wasn't entirely sure. Doubts still linger because, apparently, putting Activision's top game on Game Pass could be risky, as Game Pass subscriber numbers have stalled and adding CoD to the service might hurt sales.

It seems that the news about Call of Duty (rumored to be Black Ops Gulf War) coming to Game Pass will be revealed during the June showcase, where the game will be unveiled and announced for the subscription service.

However, the Wall Street Journal article doesn't mention if another possible strategy will be implemented: introducing a new Game Pass subscription tier or raising the service's prices altogether.

We'll need to wait until the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9th to find out. Will Call of Duty be joining Game Pass?
