During the State of Play event held last Thursday (30th), Sony finally announced that God of War Ragnarok will be released on PC on September 19.

In a detailed post on the PlayStation Blog, the company outlined all the features that players can enjoy in the new version.

God of War Ragnarok on PC Requires a PSN Account

The epic journey of Kratos and Atreus will feature an unlocked frame rate and 4K resolution options, providing an even smoother and more realistic adventure experience.

Additionally, the game will integrate upscaling technology, including DLSS, FSR, and Intel XeSS (Xe Super Sampling). These options will enhance the graphical settings, provided your hardware is compatible.

For a more complete experience, God of War Ragnarok on PC will include all post-launch updates, including the New Game+ mode and the Valhalla DLC, at no extra cost.

However, amidst these numerous advantages, there's a potential drawback for some players. The game's Steam page displays the following message: “A PlayStation Network account is required, subject to the PlayStation Network Terms of Service and User Agreement.”

Following the controversy with account linking in Helldivers 2, the PC version of God of War Ragnarok will also require a PSN account. It's worth noting that during yesterday's event, Sony confirmed that PC games will require a PlayStation Network account.

Despite the requirement of a PlayStation Network account, the PC release of God of War Ragnarok promises an unmatched gaming experience. With stunning 4K resolution, unlocked frame rates, and advanced upscaling technologies, players can immerse themselves in the epic journey of Kratos and Atreus like never before. As we eagerly await its September 19 release, it's clear that this iconic adventure is set to captivate a whole new audience on PC.
