The publisher stated that its excitement for the release of GTA 6 is constantly increasing
In their most recent financial report, Take-Two Interactive announced they've set a launch timeframe for Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6). As per the publisher's statement, the new title from Rockstar Games is slated to arrive in stores during the autumn of 2025, spanning from September through December.
In a press release, the company stated its strong belief that Rockstar Games will deliver an unmatched entertainment experience. They further explained that this is fueling their growing commercial expectations for the title, owing to the franchise's consistent impact.
The belief in GTA 6's success is strong enough that Take-Two Interactive anticipates revenue growth across the fiscal years 2025, 2026, and 2027. Alongside the game, there are plans for additional titles, yet to be disclosed, but scheduled to meet the publisher's internal timelines
More updates for GTA 6 could be on the horizon
The publisher's announcement comes in the wake of rumors hinting at apprehensions regarding possible delays for the title. In response, they decided to retract the remote work policies for Rockstar Games teams, asserting that this move would also aid in preventing any future leaks of the game.
However, recent layoffs at Take-Two Interactive have sparked speculation that the end of remote work was a ploy to push some employees to resign. According to Bloomberg, amid the uncertainties of game development, rumors of potential delays were blown out of proportion.
Recent modifications to the API of the official Rockstar Games website hint at a possible imminent release of the official cover for GTA 6, alongside a few screenshots. Additionally, the page has been updated to include hints about an upcoming PC version of Red Dead Redemption in the launcher's description.
