Steam: New Feature Leaked with Images

SteamDB Creator Shares Insight on Upcoming Steam Functionality

Gamers love sharing their in-game achievements with friends through videos, and it looks like Steam is set to make this task much easier. According to the creator of SteamDB, Valve is planning to release a feature that will allow players to record short video clips of their games without the need for any additional applications.

In some games, this feature might even include timeline markers. For instance, in Dota 2, which is showcased in the shared images, users can see markers indicating the moments when kills were made.

Steam Videos Can Be Shared on Other Platforms

Additional images of the rumored new Steam feature reveal that the recorded videos won't be confined to the Steam platform. Players will be able to download the video files and share them via a link, enabling easy transfer to devices like smartphones.

So far, no detailed information about the feature's functionality has been leaked. However, it's possible that a new shortcut, similar to the F12 key for screenshots, could be introduced for video recording. Currently, Steam offers only 1 GB of cloud storage, which might be considered insufficient for video files.

Considering that these images are leaked, they could be removed at any time. Valve has not yet commented on the rumors or made any official announcements regarding this feature.

What do you think, reader? Are you excited about the possibility of recording Steam game videos on your PC without installing additional software?
